Task 3: Time Line
The last step of this project is to combine every thing we have learned from the class presentations. Using the website Timeglider, we will create a timeline as a class that includes all 21 chosen Black History Month figures. We will organize the timeline by the birth years of each figure, and you will choose the one fact you found during your research that you feel best represents them and why you chose them as your figure.
Another picture will be required for this assignment, but it can be one that you used in your presentations if you would like to do so. Each of you will take turns coming up during classwork time and add your fact to the timeline, The finished product will be printed out and hung in the classroom so that you may admire your hard work!
Take a look at the guide for the website below (we will also go over it in class because we will be using this program in the future!) and don't worry about creating an account! I have created one for the whole class to use when the time comes. Make sure that the fact that you choose to add to the timeline is one that will really represent your chosen figure in the best way possible! That means that you should steer clear choosing birthdays other generic facts. Extra credit will be given to those students who choose facts that weren't included in their power points! You can always ask me for help if you are not sure whether your fact is one that follows these rules.
